ROLE SUMMARY
To strategically enable long-term sustainability and employer-of-choice status through the governance, development, implementation, and continuous review of integrated Human Resources strategies, systems, policies, processes, and workforce capability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic HR leadership, planning, and business alignment.
- Manage Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), governance, and data integrity.
- Oversee recruitment, induction, and exit processes.
- Support organisational design and employment equity initiatives.
- Manage employee relations, health and safety, and workplace governance.
- Administer compensation, benefits, and payroll governance.
- Ensure legal and social compliance, including audits, immigration, and labour legislation.
- Provide leadership and accountability within the HR team.
- Maintain strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
- Apply sound knowledge of the Labour Relations Act (LRA), Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Employment Equity Act (EEA), and Skills Development Act.
- Handle CCMA matters and disciplinary procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification will be advantageous.
- Effective communication skills.
- Valid Code 8 driver’s licence.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in Human Resources.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Proven experience across key HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and payroll management.
